This week, we proudly celebrate School Social Worker Week, and we want to recognize one of the very best in the business — Mrs. Townsend.

Mrs. Townsend goes above and beyond every single day for her students, their families, and our entire community. Whether she’s offering a listening ear, providing guidance, or advocating for what’s best for kids, she does it all with compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication.

Snow Hill High School is truly fortunate to have someone who cares so deeply and works so tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of others.

Please join us in thanking Mrs. Townsend for the incredible impact she makes each and every day! 💙

For the past seven years, Mrs. Crystina Merritt has been a cornerstone of the Snow Hill High School Math Department. Her dedication to her students and her craft has been unwavering, often going above and beyond to ensure every student succeeds. You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows, but sometimes you need a steady hand to guide the way—and Mrs. Merritt has been that steady hand, helping students excel in Scholarship, Ownership, Achievement, and Respect. We are so grateful for the guidance, encouragement, and light she has brought to our school community, and we know she will continue to make a difference wherever her journey takes her.

Thank you Mrs. Merritt
Over the past 2½ years, the Snow Hill community has been lucky to have Mrs. Elise Kovich as part of our staff. Her energy, enthusiasm, and positivity have brightened our halls and touched countless students and colleagues. While we are sad to see her go, we are excited for the next chapter in her journey and know she will continue spreading that same light wherever she goes. We wish Mrs. Kovich all the best in her new adventure!

Virtual Learning

Due to inclement weather conditions, Worcester County Public Schools will hold a virtual learning day on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Students should log-on to Schoology as directed by their school. All after school, evening and Adult Education classes are cancelled.

WCPS is aware that power and connectivity outages are still impacting some areas of our school system; however, as a reminder, all students will be provided support to make-up any instruction and classwork upon our return to in-school learning should they not be able to access synchronous instruction. Visit https://www.worcesterk12.org/page/virtual-day-instruction to view the virtual day instruction plan for more detail.
