The Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology at Salisbury University has a summer research program for high school students beginning this year. The dates for the program are the two weeks between July 8 and July 19. The associated cost is $500, if accepted. The program targets rising Juniors and Seniors. Students will be broken down into small groups under the mentorship of an SU professor to work on a two-week project that improves lab, research, presentation, and other academic skills that are helpful for future success in STEM.

The Worcester County Board of Education remains committed to the safety and security of our students and staff. While we have already publicly addressed the recommendations and presentations by our law enforcement officials, we recognize that this continued public debate on school safety is not conducive to restoring the partnership between our entities, and it stands to further incite fear in our students.
To that end, the Board and Superintendent of Schools has extended an open invitation to the Worcester County Sheriff and Chief Deputy to meet with the Superintendent and Chief Safety and Academic Officer to discuss the execution of our Memorandum of Understanding and how we can best move forward for the betterment of our schools.
